Living The Dream Together Tour 2025: Tarja Turunen & Marko Hietala

The brightest star of symphonic rock, Tarja Turunen, is the most renowned voice in the world of Finnish music. As a co-founder of Nightwish, she captivated the world with her soprano, and its fusion with metal at the turn of the century gave birth to a new genre that inspired many bands. In 2006, Tarja began her solo career, which she continues to pursue today. Over nearly 20 years, she has released a total of 9 solo albums, exploring both classical and rock directions.

Marko Hietala spent two decades with Nightwish, parting ways with the band in 2021. During that time, the bassist and vocalist was a key member of Tarot (with a brief break) and collaborated with bands like Delain and Amorphis, before deciding to focus on his solo career. The result? The album Pyre of Black Heart, released in its Finnish version in 2019, followed by an English version a year later. Marko continues his journey, as evidenced by his duet with Tarja on the track "Left on Mars," released in mid-March. We’ll surely hear this song at the Riga concert, along with Nightwish tracks performed by the duo!
