Christmas Truce Journey:
From Milan to Riga, Uniting Hearts Through Music Across 15 Cities
Renowned harpist and composer Alexander Boldachev (Switzerland) invites audiences to experience a unique Christmas Truce Journey this winter—a concert tour that spans over 15 cities, from Milan to Riga. The tour, inspired by the Christmas Truce of 1914, celebrates unity, peace, and hope through an evocative program of classical and contemporary music.
On December 22, Boldachev will bring his tour to Riga’s historic Rīgas Reformātu baznīca, creating a meaningful Christmas experience for all attendees. This concert, which serves as the culmination of a European journey, aims to bring people of all backgrounds together in the spirit of cultural connection and dialogue. Alongside the music, Boldachev will share reflections from his journey, inviting the audience to join him in an open conversation about peace, resilience, and community.
The program includes works by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and the timeless “Shchedryk” (Carol of the Bells), capturing the beauty and depth of classical music, while offering audiences a profound reflection on the themes of unity and renewal. Boldachev’s Latvian heritage also makes this concert especially meaningful, as he returns to Riga with a program that is both a personal and artistic journey.
Each performance in the Christmas Truce Journey series also offers a unique opportunity for audiences to engage with Boldachev personally. A post-concert networking session will allow guests to connect, discuss ideas, and take home signed copies of his latest album «War and Peace» available on CD and vinyl.
Boldachev’s Christmas Truce Journey has resonated with audiences across Europe, drawing people together in a celebration of peace and cultural solidarity. Join us for this extraordinary evening in Riga and experience the transformative power of music that transcends borders.
