Instrumenti - Pink Noise Riga
At the “Pink Noise Riga” Festival – the only “Instrumenti” concert in Riga this summer!
Instrumenti – Pink Noise Riga
Friday, July 25 | Palladium | 7 PM – 10 PM
7:00 PM – LUPA
8:30 PM – Instrumenti
The main star of the “Pink Noise Riga” Festival on July 25 will be “Instrumenti” – one of Latvia’s most beloved pop-rock bands. Their sound has introduced a variety of exciting, modern shades – from electropop and pop-rock to rock, indie, and bold genre-crossing “experiments” loved by fans across Latvia and beyond. The group’s leaders, Jānis Šipkēvics and Reinis Sējāns, will be joined at the “Pink Noise Riga” concert – their first and only live performance in Riga this summer – by an impressive full backing band.
Opening for “Instrumenti” will be the instrumental, electronic, and analog modern fusion group “LUPA”, founded in 2016, featuring four outstanding Latvian jazz and contemporary musicians: Dāvis Jurka (alto saxophone and Erica Synths effects), Ritvars Garoza (synthesizers and Fender Rhodes), Valters Sprūdžs (bass guitar), and Andris Buiķis (drums and Tempest analog drum machine). The band’s recordings have been nominated for several Latvian music awards and won “Best Jazz Album” at the “Latvian Music Recording Awards” in 2022. At the July 25 concert, LUPA will perform pieces from their album “1982”, recorded with Sinfonietta Rīga and released in 2025 by “Jersika Records”.
